About This Calculator

This salary calculator is built specifically for central government employees covered under the 7th Pay Commission (7th CPC). It uses the official Pay Matrix to compute your salary accurately, applying all standard allowances and deductions.
The calculator supports all 18 pay levels, from Level 1 (MTS/Helper) to Level 18 (Cabinet Secretary). It automatically computes Dearness Allowance at the current 55% rate, HRA based on your city class (X/Y/Z), Transport Allowance with DA, NPS contributions (employee 10% + government 14%), CGHS deduction, and income tax under the new tax regime.
All calculations are done in your browser. Your salary data is never sent to any server. Works fully offline after first load.
How to Use

Select Pay Level — Choose your level from the 7th CPC pay matrix (Level 1–18). The initial basic pay for each level is shown in the dropdown.

Select Pay Cell — Cell 1 is your starting salary. Each annual increment moves you to the next cell. Select the cell matching your current increment stage.

Choose City Class — X-class metros (Delhi, Mumbai etc.) get 27% HRA, Y-class cities get 18%, and Z-class towns get 9% of basic pay.

Set NPS Option — If you joined after 01 Jan 2004, NPS is mandatory. 10% of (Basic+DA) is deducted. The government adds 14% on your behalf to your NPS account.
